1932 - 1997 Joe Sr. was very involved in the community over his many years, he served as city councilman for the City of Palm Springs, board of directors for the County of Riverside, planning commission of Palm Springs, president Desert Insurance Agency Association, president of Desert Estate Planning Council, Chairman of the board for the Riverside County Date Festival and a member of Palm Springs Rotary. Joe attended San Diego State University and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. In 1955 he established Garcia Insurance which is now one of the largest locally owned insurance agencies in the desert. Joe Garcia, Jr. - President
A graduate of UCLA Joe serves as president of Garcia Insurance. Joe remains active like his father in the community. He also serves on the boards of First Community Bank, Canyon National Bank and the Desert Contractors Associaton as well as Rotary Club. He is also involved in professional groups like the Desert Estate Planning Council, the Accountants and Hospitality Association as well as the Building Industry Association. Anthony Garcia is Vice President of the company and is a graduate of San Diego State University. He has been with the company for over 5 years and manages the Group Medical Department. Anthony Has been involved in developing many group plans for large professional associations. Anthony oversees the operations including sales management for the medical and life department. Marilyn Clark - Personal Lines Manager Marilyn Clark is the Personal Lines Manager and has been with the agency for over seven years. Before moving to Palm Springs, Marilyn was working in Dickinson, North Dakota for one of the largest agencies in the area. She has over twenty five years experience in personal lines. Marilyn oversees sales production and quality control. Gordon Rees - Manager of the Commercial Department Gordon Rees is Vice President and Manager of the Commercial Department. He has been with the agency for over 14 years. Gordon has over 30 years of experience in the insurance business. He was with Frank B. Hall in Los Angeles before moving to the desert and joining Garcia Insurance.
